MVP and Private Beta
Defining the goals of our MVP and Private Beta testing as well as outlining incentives
MVP Scope
The first milestone for the CS Skins Perpetual DEX is a minimum viable product (MVP) that demonstrates the core mechanics of the system without the full complexity of a production-ready exchange.
Key features in the MVP:
Single-asset market (e.g. M4A1-S | Printstream (Field-Tested)) with USDC collateral.
Basic perpetual contract engine: isolated margin, long/short, mark price from oracle feed.
Price oracle via keepers:
3–10 designated keepers fetch prices from Pricempire and other sources.
Keepers sign and post aggregated prices to Base every ~15s.
Contract accepts prices when ≥2/3 keepers agree.
Funding rate calculation: simple hourly funding, paid in USDC.
Liquidations via keepers: margin health checked off-chain; undercollateralized positions liquidated on-chain by any keeper.
Web app with wallet connect, basic chart, long/short placement, and position monitoring.
This MVP proves end-to-end flow: off-chain data → keeper signatures → Base contract → DEX trading engine → settlement.
Private Beta
The MVP will launch as a closed/private beta to a small group of testers.
Goals of the private beta:
Validate oracle stability
Ensure the keeper network consistently updates prices without gaps.
Monitor how price aggregation handles stale feeds or outliers.
Stress-test margin + liquidation logic
Observe user behavior under leverage.
Fine-tune maintenance margin %, funding intervals, and liquidation penalties.
Gather trader UX feedback
Assess onboarding flow (wallet setup, deposits, UI clarity).
Collect feedback from both crypto-native and CS skin traders.
Measure gas costs on Base
Track the cost of oracle updates and keeper liquidations.
Optimize posting cadence for affordability vs. accuracy.
⚙Beta Mechanics
Whitelisted access: only approved addresses can trade.
Collateral cap: per-user deposit caps (e.g. $1,000 USDC) to limit risk during testing.
One market only: single skin contract to simplify oracle + liquidity.
Incentivized keepers: team + early partners run the keeper nodes; they receive test fees for operating.
Success Criteria
The MVP/private beta will be considered successful if:
Oracle delivers >99% uptime with no single keeper dominance.
Users can open/close leveraged positions reliably.
Funding + liquidation logic executes correctly on Base.
